From strategic clarity to operational ownership.
Experienced COO support to strengthen decisions, coordinate execution and lead operations. Choose the level of responsibility your business needs, without defaulting to a permanent executive hire.
Growth adds complexity. Leadership capacity doesn’t always follow.
Organizations often reach a point where operational decisions depend on a few individuals, priorities compete for attention and execution loses momentum. More meetings rarely solve the underlying problem.
The founder becomes the bottleneck.
Escalations, approvals and everyday decisions accumulate at the top, leaving too little space for strategic work.
Busy teams. Inconsistent execution.
Plans are agreed, but ownership, cross-functional coordination and follow-through vary from week to week.
The business outgrows its operating rhythm.
Reporting, management routines and decision rights no longer provide the visibility or discipline growth demands.
The goal isn’t another executive title. It’s better execution.
The value of a COO lies in the decisions made, the teams aligned and the operational results delivered. The right engagement starts with what your organization needs someone to own, not with a generic job description.
Three ways to work together.
From a trusted operational adviser to a leader embedded in your organization, the difference is the responsibility you choose to delegate.

Clarity, accountability and momentum.
Operational leadership is effective when teams know what matters, who decides and how progress is measured.
Whether we advise, coordinate or lead, the objective is to create a more dependable operating system that improves performance without making the organization dependent on external support.

The situations that call for more operational leadership.
From founder-led businesses to established organizations, senior operational capacity can be introduced in proportion to the need.
Your business is scaling faster than its management systems.
Growth exposes gaps in ownership, coordination, reporting and the ability to deliver consistently.
The founder needs to step back from daily operations.
Too much time is spent solving routine issues rather than making strategic choices or developing the business.
Execution is falling behind ambition.
You have a strategy and capable teams, but progress lacks rhythm, accountability and cross-functional alignment.
A transition calls for experienced leadership.
You need interim operational capacity or targeted leadership during change, without immediately making a permanent appointment.
A few practical answers.
Each engagement is built around a clearly agreed remit, so that responsibilities and expectations remain explicit.
How do the three COO services differ?
COO Advisory offers senior guidance and recommendations while your team retains execution. Fractional COO adds ongoing coordination, performance management and execution oversight. Embedded COO assumes a defined operational leadership remit, including delegated decisions and accountability.
How many days per week should we choose?
That depends on the pace of decisions, complexity of operations and responsibility being delegated. One or two days may suit advisory work or a focused management remit; wider operational leadership typically requires more regular availability.
Does Embedded COO mean a permanent executive appointment?
No. It is a contracted operating leadership engagement. The scope, duration, decision rights, reporting lines and responsibilities are defined with your organization. A one-day engagement would necessarily carry a more limited remit than a full-time role.
Can Melqart Partners work remotely?
Yes. Remote-first engagements are available, with on-site sessions when operational needs justify them. The working model is agreed at the beginning of each mission.
Can the arrangement change over time?
Yes. The weekly commitment or level of involvement can be reviewed as the business evolves, subject to a revised agreement on scope and availability.
Are improvement projects included?
Improvement work within the agreed operational remit can be part of an engagement. Major transformation programmes, specialist audits or additional project delivery may be defined and priced separately.
What would change if operations had the leadership capacity they need?
Let’s find the right balance of strategic advice, operational management and delegated leadership for your business.
